biOrigins Sodium Hydroxide Products Recalled Due to Risk of Chemical Burns and Irritation
biOrigins Sodium Hydroxide Products have been recalled due to a failure to meet the child-resistant packaging requirement and a violation of the Federal Hazardous Substances Act (FHSA) labeling requirement.
These recalled products were sold exclusively at Amazon.com from July 2020 through July 2021.
These recalled products contain sodium hydroxide, which must be in child resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). The packaging is not child resistant, posing a risk of chemical burns and irritation to the skin and eyes.
Additionally, the label on these recalled products violates the FHSA by omitting the mandatory information on the packaging.
Consumers should immediately store these recalled products in a safe location out of the reach of children and contact Madar Corporation for a full refund and a free warning label. Madar Corporation is contacting all purchasers directly.
